Micronauts 30th Anniversary by MartySalsman Micronauts 30th Anniversary by MartySalsman
This 30th Anniversary color art piece is in honor of the great Bill Mantlo and Micheal Golden who brought my favorite toys to life. I liked models a lot and the toys(by MEGO) had interchangable parts so naturally I loved them, a few years later Mighty Marvel published these wonderful comics. Marty Abrams is my hero as well in this piece, without whom we wouldn't have Micronauts at all. The Micronaut/Microman line of toys are the originators of the "Tranformers"!!

i was emailing with Michael Mantlo this morning. thanks to some business negotiations with marvel because of their use of the rocket raccoon character it looks like he's going to be able to get Bill some much better care that's closer to him now. plus, he's legally obliged to not disclose any specific information but he intimated that their are some closed door rumblings going on in regards to licensed properties like ROM and The Micronauts finally get out of Limbo. for me seeing is believing but that licensed properties page from last week's Marvel 75 years Anniversary issue tells me he might be onto something.

Naww, one big happy Microversian family of heroes :aww:

I'm 14 and thanks to my dad, I love the Shogun Warriors and Micronauts when he talked about his childhood :)

It would be great to see that published.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised that Golden was involved w/ both Micronauts, and Crystar. Those were 2 of my favorite toy lines growing up, and I still have a few of each!

Cross yer fingers!

He's a great artist and colorist too. He was art director at Marvel for a while.

ThanX Bud, I submitted it to "Toyfare" this morning I just hope they publish it! Have you ever thought of doing a "Crystar" piece? Micheal Golden did several of those covers of the comic.
